Who knows better what patients want and need from their providers, than patients themselves? ExPPect partners in the design and delivery of clinical training by infusing the lived experience of patients into content and learning objectives, facilitating learners to optimize patient outcomes through co-production and shared decision-making.
ExPPect has been fortunate to partner in the National Academies of Science and Medicine's Diagnostic Scholar's program, participating in live sessions and producing enduring content for learners.
This module, co-designed by patient, parent, and clinician faculty, and informed by a comprehensive patient survey, identifies strategies for overcoming the primary challenges in care transitions for JIA patients from disease onsent to adulthood.
This activity, a panel discussion based on patient survey data and led by patient and clinican faculty, identified key racial, ethnic, and other barriers to care, and provided practical guidance for supporting all patients through their diagnostic and treatment experiences.
In this program, built from patient survey data, patient and clinician faculty from the IBD and RA communities discuss barriers and facilitators for making joint provider-patient treatment decisions.
ExPPect was honored to partner with the Institute for Patient and Family Centered Care to create this online training tool for engaging patients and families in the creation and execution of clinical training.
